Defensive Barriers, also known as explosion-proof wall and
flood-proof wall, are new products assembled and sewed by welded
gabion mesh and geotextile. It can hold fine sand, dirt and stones,
can replace sandbags in traditional military bunkers, and can be
recycled.
Material: High quality low carbon steel wire (Q195, Q235) or Galfan
wire.
Defensive barriers features: galvanized after welding, hot-dip
galvanized after welding, Galfan wire.
Simple to use and easy to operate. Strong tensile force and

Defensive Barriers are different from traditional gabion baskets.
It can hold not only stones but finer silts as well. Filling is
made from local materials and is especially suitable for downstream
or coastal use where stones are scarce. With the help of advanced
tools such as excavators and forklifts, the installation efficiency
is dozens or even hundreds of times that of traditional sandbags.
Defensive barriers can be widely used in:
Perimeter security and defensive walls, equipment revetments,
search areas for explosives and contraband, ammunition compounds,
personnel and material bunkers, observation points, defensive
firing positions, road checkpoints, border checkpoints. Protection
of existing structures, freeway traffic management, flood
protection, watercourses, emergency flood protection deployment,
erosion control retaining walls.
Defensive Barriers Advantages:
Once filled with soil, sand or gravel, forms a solid and strong
barrier with exceptional strength and structural integrity to
protect personnel and equipment from enemy fire. For example:
Two feet thick barriers can be used to stop rifle bullets and shell
fragments.
Four feet thick barriers can prevent most car bombs.
Five feet thick barriers is ideal for preventing penetration and
explosion fragments from rocket propelled grenade.
HESCO bastion barrier can be used in separate cell or some cells
joined together by joint pins to suit different needs of your
projects. Almost any locally filling material can be used such as
soil, sand, gravel, crushed rock and various other granular
materials.
Can be collapsed and stacked on pallets for easy package, handling
and transport, so that it efficiently saves labor cost.
Provides the easiest deploy methods - just unfold it and fill it
using minimal manpower or commonly available equipment. Previously,
sandbag barrier is considered a slow undertaking as a person can
only fill about 20 sandbags per hour. Yet our KNSCO do ten times
the work.
